Software Engineer - SharePoint

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer specializing in SharePoint to design, enhance, and maintain advanced Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 platforms. The role involves working closely with stakeholder requirements to deliver cutting-edge solutions leveraging SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React.js, TypeScript, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph API, alongside deep knowledge of SharePoint configuration and Microsoft 365 services.

Primary Duties

• Create, tailor, and uphold SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365-based applications.
• Develop modern SharePoint web parts and extensions utilizing the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
• Craft responsive, engaging user interfaces employing React.js and TypeScript.
• Automate workflows effectively via Power Automate.
• Facilitate integration between SharePoint/Microsoft 365 and external systems through Microsoft Graph API.
• Set up and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, permissions, content types, and metadata schemas.
• Build reusable components adhering to Microsoft's development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to SharePoint applications, integrations, and performance.
• Interface with business stakeholders to transform their needs into technical solutions.
• Engage in all phases of solution lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, analysts, and infrastructure personnel.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Contribute to SharePoint migration, modernization, and hybrid integration projects.
• Document technical implementations, deployment steps, and support procedures thoroughly.

Technical Expertise Required

• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Proficiency with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
• Strong skills in React.js and TypeScript development.
• Experience automating business workflows using Power Automate.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API for connectivity with external applications.
• Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS development.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Lists, Libraries, REST APIs, and customization techniques.
• Ability to integrate various Microsoft 365 services effectively.
• Workflow automation and custom development within SharePoint environments.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in SharePoint development.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Proven track record in SPFx, React.js, and TypeScript programming.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in development projects.
