Overview
Join Google as a Software Engineer specialized in Safe Coding, contributing to the security of billions of users worldwide by developing next-generation technologies. Based in our new Singapore hub, you will play a vital role in pioneering engineering culture and innovation within the Asia-Pacific region, supporting Google’s mission to keep products and users secure.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality software, taking comprehensive ownership of critical projects and system architecture.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads, Product Managers, and Program Managers to meet team objectives aligned with AI strategy and ensure effective implementation of key projects.
- Adapt quickly to the evolving AI and threat landscape, developing innovative solutions through efficient and creative coding practices.
- Partner effectively with Google’s Software Supply Chain Integrity program, various engineering teams, and industry collaborators to integrate security solutions at scale.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- Minimum 2 years working on software focused on data privacy or security, including areas such as identity and access management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing and managing developer ecosystems, including package managers and build systems.
- Expertise in designing seamless developer experiences and workflows.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-organizational efforts and establish productive partnerships.
- In-depth knowledge of software supply chain security challenges and vulnerability management.
- Active participation or leadership in open-source initiatives or projects with extensive open-source dependencies.
