Role Overview

The Software Engineer will join a dynamic Bengaluru-based team focused on building next-generation payment systems leveraging blockchain, smart contracts, serverless architectures, and real-time payment technologies. This role requires passionate problem solvers and team players dedicated to innovation, scaling cloud-native applications, and crafting high-availability payment platforms used by millions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain various components of our high-scale payment network that demand precision and uptime.
• Write clean, reusable code that is easily testable and maintainable.
• Engage fully in all software engineering phases including design, development, testing, and production deployments within an Agile environment.
• Create scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available solutions with automated failover capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product architects, owners, and QA to define requirements and deliver superior products.
• Participate actively in resolving client challenges by enhancing or developing features that improve customer experience.
• Learn continuously, mentor peers, and strive for excellence within a team of top-tier engineers.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree with strong programming skills in Java and a solid understanding of relational databases.
• Minimum one year of backend development experience.
• Experience writing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software based on clear requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and participate in code reviews.
• Commitment to learning engineering best practices and contributing to team collaboration.
• Ownership of tasks with proactive identification of improvements in code quality and development processes.
• An inquisitive mindset about software development methodologies and technologies relevant to payment systems.
• Passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences.

Preferred

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including RDS and EC2 services.
• Experience with containerized application development using Docker and Kubernetes.
• DevOps-related skills and tool experience.
