Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Low Code Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This position involves designing and implementing business applications and automation solutions primarily using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas) and Power Automate workflows to meet organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Power Apps canvas applications and Power Automate flows tailored to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with existing teams to establish development standards, reusable components, and solution patterns to expand Power Platform capabilities.
  • Comprehend business challenges and propose solutions that maximize product value.
  • Translate business problems into clear technical scopes, milestones, and acceptance criteria, ensuring full traceability.
  • Conduct rapid prototyping to validate feasibility, mitigate risks, and demonstrate digital solutions to stakeholders.
  • Introduce and document best practices for Power Platform development to build a comprehensive internal knowledge base.
  • Define release readiness and go-live criteria covering functional, non-functional, security, and operational aspects; ensure proper approvals, documentation, and support arrangements for deployment.
  • Govern architecture and technical design standards through reviews, reusable patterns, and workflow performance optimization to enhance maintainability.
  • Promote engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with users to establish success metrics (KPIs) and monitor outcomes including adoption, reliability, and supportability, driving delivery toward measurable results.
  • Additional advantages include understanding cybersecurity principles, data privacy and compliance in government contexts, and experience in application operations and production support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in IT or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in software/application development including software development, application management, or systems implementation roles.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, backend technologies, and Microsoft desktop tools integration.
  • Possession of Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-400 Power Platform Developer Associate is considered an advantage.
