Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled macOS Software Engineer to join our Grammarly for Mac team. This team is tasked with end-to-end development of a sophisticated AI-powered product that enhances written communication for Mac users, serving 96% of the Fortune 500 companies. The role involves innovative software design and tackling increasing technical complexity as we mature our interfaces, algorithms, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and contribute to a strong, scalable software architecture.
- Innovate beyond technical constraints to deliver exceptional user features.
- Develop intricate UX solutions involving complex UI components.
- Optimize performance to minimize latency in processing complex documents.
- Apply solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures to ensure high performance.
- Create shared components utilized across Grammarly’s Apple platform suite.
- Employ Swift, AppKit, and CoreGraphics following engineering best practices.

- Thrives in uncertainty by identifying optimal solutions.
- Comfortable with rapid development cycles and receiving ongoing feedback.
- Prior experience with macOS desktop application development and internal Mac system integration is advantageous but not a requirement.
