Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create solutions aligned with business needs.
- Develop Java-based services integrated within end-to-end workflows.
- Design and implement robust, secure, and efficient APIs for data persistence and business logic execution.
- Manage all facets of software development and provide Level 3 production support.
- Engage in code reviews and facilitate knowledge exchange within the team.
- Offer technical leadership and guide architectural choices.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and audit standards, particularly in financial systems contexts.
- Build and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (JDK 17+) and associated frameworks.
- Implement microservices architectures leveraging the Spring ecosystem.
- Utilize messaging platforms such as Kafka to support event-driven system designs.
- Apply multithreading, concurrency management, and optimize application performance.
- Enforce coding best practices emphasizing design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding methodologies.
- Incorporate security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure coding norms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3 to 7 years of professional experience in backend Java development.
- Proficient with Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud frameworks.
- Firm understanding of microservices design and RESTful API principles.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or comparable event-streaming technologies.
- Expertise in multithreading, concurrency control, and performance enhancements.
- Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong grasp of fundamental software design principles including SOLID and common design patterns.
- Implementation experience of security standards including OAuth2, JWT, and encryption methods.
- Awareness of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
