Job Details

• Position: Software Engineer | Java Developer
• Working Days: Five days per week
• Work Location: Office near Tai Seng MRT, Singapore

Job Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for designing, developing, refactoring, and optimizing the performance of core backend system components, ensuring the delivery of clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Investigate, design, and implement innovative solutions to solve complex technical and business challenges, with emphasis on handling high concurrency situations effectively.
• Participate in system architecture decisions aimed at achieving scalability, high availability, and robust fault tolerance.
• Engage actively throughout the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, system design, testing, deployment, and ongoing system monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with local and regional colleagues and business units to ensure effective teamwork.
• Contribute to the team’s growth by sharing expertise, advocating best practices, and uplifting overall technical proficiency.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Preferably have at least one year of experience in software development using Java.
• Demonstrate strong foundational knowledge in computer science principles including operating systems, networking concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency with Java technologies: Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Spring Security frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with popular open-source frameworks and tools including Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, and Redis.
• Extensive expertise in MySQL covering schema design, query optimization, and strategies for database scaling.
