Your Role

• Enhance existing software products by contributing to the further development of our Workflow & Workplace software solution, maintaining focus on the goals of the in|sure Ecosphere with pragmatic approaches.
• Demonstrate flexibility in technology choices and problem-solving based on your extensive experience.
• Participate fully in the software development lifecycle: present solutions in workshops with fellow software engineers, challenge ideas, implement and secure solutions through testing, and prepare corresponding documentation.
• Analyze and resolve issues or errors reported by customers and collaborate with software architects to assess framework vulnerabilities for criticality.
• Work within a dynamic, experienced team where you take responsibility for your assigned topics; attend a three-day in-person workshop with colleagues every six weeks to collaborate on current projects.

Your Profile

• You hold completed training as an IT specialist or a degree in computer science.
• You are passionate about software engineering with at least three years of relevant professional experience.
• Possess solid expertise in backend development with Java and Quarkus, focusing on building performant and maintainable applications.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures and the application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to delineate clear responsibility areas based on business requirements.
• Apply Clean Architecture concepts to keep business logic independent from technical implementation details.
• Experience with event-driven communication using Kafka and knowledge of ensuring reliability among loosely coupled services.
• Work proficiently with MongoDB and SQL databases, selecting appropriate data models and persistence approaches depending on business needs.
• A curious learner drawn to quickly adapting to new releases, features, and technologies.
• Competent in integrating AI tools within your domain, critically evaluating outputs, and assisting both customers and colleagues in leveraging AI potential.
• Excellent German language skills required, at minimum C1 level.
