Position Overview

• Design and implement forward-looking software architectures within the .NET domain focused on banking and financial services.
• Modernize traditional enterprise architectures such as monoliths, client-server models, and on-premise systems by incorporating contemporary approaches including microservices, containerization, and event-driven designs.
• Define and establish architectural and technology standards focusing on cloud-native solutions, API-first principles, security by design, and domain-driven design, taking into account the unique requirements of the banking sector.
• Engage with stakeholders by translating banking and financial business needs into reliable technical solutions, collaborating closely with clients, business departments, and development teams.
• Evaluate emerging trends including AI integration, serverless computing, observability, zero-trust security frameworks, and DevSecOps to ensure secure, resilient, and future-proof banking applications.

Candidate Profile

• Education & Experience: A degree in (business) informatics or an equivalent qualification, complemented by several years' experience designing and documenting complex software architectures; previous involvement in banking or financial service projects is highly desirable.
• .NET and Cloud Expertise: Strong skills in C# and .NET Core, alongside experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Bicep.
• Modernization & Platform Development: Proven track record of upgrading legacy systems to microservices architectures, cloud-based, and SaaS platforms, effectively transforming monolithic systems into scalable platforms.
• Banking & Security Acumen: Deep understanding of critical banking application requirements, encompassing needs analysis, operational concepts, and security architecture.
• Facilitation & Coaching Skills: Proficient in leading architecture workshops, acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, and mentoring development teams.
• AI Competence: Skilled in employing AI tools within the expertise domain, critically assessing their outcomes, and aiding clients and colleagues in leveraging AI potentials.
• Language Skills: Excellent proficiency in German and good command of English to ensure effective communication.
