Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer specializing in iOS to enhance our financial lending platform within Grab Financial Services located in Bangalore, India. The role demands developing high-quality iOS applications with security and user data protection as priorities, while efficiently collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance iOS applications utilizing Swift and Objective-C, adhering to best practices and financial compliance standards.
• Design user interfaces employing UIKit, SwiftUI, or other iOS frameworks focusing on secure financial transactions.
• Integrate and manage RESTful API communications to ensure secure, smooth data exchange involved in lending processes.
• Author and execute unit tests to fix bugs and guarantee high-quality, dependable software meeting FinTech standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, designers, backend teams, and compliance officers to translate business lending requirements into technical tasks.
• Optimize app performance and memory management to deliver seamless user experiences across multiple iOS devices handling large financial datasets.
• Utilize Git for version control to organize codebases and maintain development workflow with audit capabilities for compliance.
• Engage in code reviews providing constructive feedback focused on security and data protection.
• Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends, especially those relevant to financial technology and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, document fixes for compliance records.
• Implement and maintain iOS security best practices and safeguard sensitive financial information in lending operations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with iOS SDK, Xcode, and iOS development environments.
• Familiarity with iOS architecture patterns such as MVC and MVVM and adherence to best practices.
• Proven experience working with RESTful APIs and network communication management.
• Proficient with Git version control.
• Experience writing unit tests and debugging iOS apps effectively.
• Knowledge of iOS frameworks including UIKit, SwiftUI, and CoreData.
• Experience designing scalable and robust distributed systems.
• Availability for on-call duties to address bugs or sprint-related issues promptly.
• Practical knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
• Familiarity with dependency management tools such as CocoaPods.
• Knowledge of iOS security protocols and data protection strategies.
• Experience optimizing mobile app performance and using profiling tools is advantageous.
