Role Overview
We seek a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who will collaborate closely with an experienced engineering team in a remote-first setting based in and around Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves designing and developing APIs, user interfaces, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing frameworks, contributing across all product lifecycle stages from conception through deployment.
Key Responsibilities and Environment
- Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment, releasing multiple updates to production daily from day one.
- Contribute broadly to product design, roadmap planning, and delivery phases.
- Embrace a devOps-focused approach, leveraging expertise while growing skills in complementary areas.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and performance optimization.
- Work with state-of-the-art technologies, setting new development patterns as products and tech evolve.
Candidate Profile
- Collaborative team player with a passion for nurturing team culture and technology evolution.
- Proficient coder, capable of working autonomously in uncertain conditions, proactive in stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
- Comfortable working full-stack from cloud infrastructure to databases and APIs; openness to learning blockchain and smart contract development is a plus.
- Adopts a continuous delivery mindset, focusing on incremental delivery and quality verification.
- Experienced in contributing to high-level technical designs and mentoring fellow engineers.
