Overview
Join our AI & Engineering team to play a key role in developing and operating integrated technology solutions that drive business success. This role focuses on redesigning critical business operations using innovative software, data, AI, network, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs utilizing Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks.
- Work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to gather requirements, assist with solution design, and deliver features across the software development life cycle.
- Create and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS, including containerized environments.
- Engage in Agile processes such as sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and peer code reviews to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities, performance optimizations, defect fixes, and enhancements in engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Between 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices development.
- Proficiency in core Java (version 8 or higher) including object-oriented design principles, clean coding practices, exception handling, concurrency, streams, and lambda expressions.
- Strong skills in designing efficient, secure, and maintainable backend code; making informed design decisions that balance performance and security.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, designing service boundaries, inter-service communication, and maintaining data consistency.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and integrating with external services and databases.
- Deep knowledge of Spring framework concepts, including dependency injection, transaction management, and ORM with JPA/Hibernate.
- Working knowledge of Spring Security and Spring Cloud for implementing security and cloud-native patterns.
- Experience with data persistence in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, complex query troubleshooting, and ORM for transactional data access.
- Strong testing, debugging, troubleshooting skills, including writing unit tests with JUnit and resolving production issues independently.
- Hands-on experience deploying Java applications on AWS cloud using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, Cognito, VPC, and secrets management tools.
- Familiarity with deploying frontend apps (Angular/React) on AWS S3 and CloudFront with CDN caching and performance tuning.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Containerization experience with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS).
- Monitoring experience with CloudWatch, centralized logging, metrics, and alerting for production troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate with clients and business partners to clarify requirements and reduce ambiguity.
- Strong teamwork orientation and ownership mentality to drive task completion independently.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Oracle Certified Associate (Java 8 or later) or Oracle Certified Professional preferred (not mandatory).
- AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner and Developer Associate are beneficial.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies for iterative delivery and feedback.
- Knowledge of Spring Security, Spring Cloud, asynchronous communication, transaction management, SOAP services, external API integrations, distributed services, and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts including natural language processing, deep learning, computer vision, and frameworks like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Additional Information
This role is based in Pune with flexible shift hours (11 AM to 8 PM IST or 2 PM to 11 PM IST). The team supports full lifecycle engineering services including design, implementation, and operational support through various delivery models tailored to client needs.
