Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the ParPay Payment software development team. This position focuses on technical contribution, requiring solid software development expertise and a drive to further expand skills. The engineer will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality software aligned with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical specifications and develop clean, high-quality code following best practices and software development principles.
• Rapidly acquire understanding of the business domain to inform coding tasks.
• Produce extensible and maintainable codebases.
• Adopt a customer-centric approach in development efforts.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent and timely delivery of software solutions.
• Participate in peer design and code reviews providing constructive feedback.
• Foster cooperative relationships with colleagues and maintain confidentiality regarding company and client data.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least two years of professional experience developing software using C# and .NET frameworks.
• Proficient with database systems such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including expertise in crafting efficient SQL queries.
• Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development methodologies is advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud services like AWS or Microsoft Azure is beneficial.
• Strong debugging capabilities with a practical approach to problem-solving using available tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Passionate about creating advanced technology solutions and thriving in fast-paced development environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Comfortable with Agile software development practices and methodologies.

Interview Process

• Initial phone screening with Talent Acquisition.
• Two technical interviews conducted via video or face-to-face with team members.
• Final video or face-to-face interview with the hiring manager.
