Job Overview

We seek a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Oracle ADF to join our team at locations including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. This full-time role works primarily onsite during general shift hours.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle ADF and Coherence application development.
• Familiarity with the insurance sector, particularly Life, Group, and General Insurance domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate with minimal supervision, leveraging specialized application development knowledge.
• Develop straightforward application solutions addressing technical challenges.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff to propose strategic technical approaches aligned with business needs.
• Ensure extensive unit and functional test coverage to maintain code quality standards.
• Write code designed for scalability and future enhancements.
• Track progress against production schedules and provide regular updates while addressing any technical issues.
• Maintain responsibility for the quality and adherence to technical standards of deliverables.
• Provide guidance and first-level support to junior and mid-level developers.
• Troubleshoot incidents and implement fixes promptly.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring new team members alongside the team lead.
• Perform code enhancements and bug fixes, while updating Known Error Databases (KEDB).

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Oracle ADF and Oracle Coherence technologies.
• Practical experience with version control systems such as GIT and SVN.
• Competence in code compilation and build processes.
• Ability to enhance code quality using tools like SonarQube for static code analysis.
• Working knowledge of unit testing frameworks, especially JUnit.
• Strong command over SQL and PL/SQL querying techniques on Oracle databases.
• Understanding and application of software design principles and technical designs.
• End-to-end solution development programming skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework (including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud), SOAP/RESTful (JAX) web services, microservices architecture, messaging services (JMS/Active MQ), and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• Understanding of Oracle WebCenter Sites (OWCS) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
• Basic scripting skills using Curl and Groovy.
