Software Engineer - Golang Backend Specialist

Role Overview

This position entails designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend services leveraging Golang technology. The engineer will collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical implementations, ensure high-quality deliverables through working with QA teams, and partner with DevOps to optimize deployment and monitoring processes in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend services using Golang for scalability and security.
• Engage with Product Managers and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and convert them into technical designs.
• Coordinate with QA teams to maintain automated testing coverage and proactively address software defects.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate build, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Create and enhance high-performance APIs and microservices tailored for cloud-native infrastructure.
• Adopt and promote modern development practices such as test-driven development (TDD), pair programming, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Perform code reviews, enforce security standards, and uphold software craftsmanship quality.
• Document system architectures ensuring compliance with security guidelines and regulatory norms.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize backend architecture for improved scalability, reliability, and observability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related discipline.
• At least one year of professional experience developing backend solutions using Golang.
• Proven expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems using tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Knowledgeable in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience utilizing observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
