Role Overview
Based in the new Dublin office, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to PlayStation's global commerce platform, which supports millions of users by enabling subscriptions, personalized storefronts, and digital transactions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces utilizing modern web technologies, chiefly React.
- Integrate real-time personalization features adapting to player behavior to deliver dynamic storefront experiences.
- Collaborate closely with design and UX teams to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- Partner with backend engineers for seamless API integration ensuring end-to-end platform functionality.
- Uphold frontend quality standards through rigorous testing, continuous UI architecture improvements, and enhancing developer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in frontend development of customer-facing web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, browser performance optimization, and adherence to accessibility standards.
- Experience working with backend APIs and designing within design system workflows.
- Background in building, testing, and deploying mobile applications.
- Keen attention to detail regarding usability, responsiveness, and visual refinement.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Testing Library.
- Experience with localization and internationalization (i18n), plus performance analysis tools.
- A strong sense of UI/UX and collaborative spirit working alongside design teams.
- Knowledge of frontend observability platforms like Sentry or Lighthouse.
- Interest or experience in backend development or full-stack technologies.
