Role Overview
We seek a motivated, skilled, and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our Core Engineering Services group. Our goal is to enhance development workflows and research processes across the organization, focusing on source code, binary management, and tools empowered by gitops methodologies.
In this role, you will engage in the conception, design, construction, deployment, and continuous advancement of our solutions, collaborating closely with engineers and researchers across different teams to boost productivity and enrich the developer experience.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Ability and enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and learn continuously.
- Strong programming skills and adept problem-solving, with proficiency in languages such as Go, Python, or C#.
- Experience identifying and resolving issues in live production environments, including enhancement of monitoring and observability metrics.
- Sound knowledge of software architecture principles.
- Curiosity about engineering and quantitative workflows and a passion for learning.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and capacity to collaborate with users from diverse business areas and cultures to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Superior communication abilities.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Experience using Docker containers.
- Knowledge of Ansible automation.
- Exposure to Prometheus monitoring and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Experience with infrastructure platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud services like AWS and Azure.
- Basic understanding of git for source code management.
- Experience handling binary package management systems, e.g., Artifactory.
