Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of substantial products and capabilities within Cable’s AI-powered utility platform, addressing commercial challenges, designing user interfaces, managing data modeling, backend architecture, and ensuring security, while monitoring real-world performance.
• Develop with AI agents as a core element of your workflow: overseeing agent coding tasks, managing contextual requirements, evaluating outcomes, and evolving successful methodologies into reusable team workflows.
• Collaborate closely with energy specialists and go-to-market colleagues to translate domain expertise into functional software, contributing to the development of an agent-driven platform that facilitates idea-to-production with increasing autonomy.
• Influence the engineering architecture by balancing simplicity, quality, security, and resilience appropriate to our company’s growth stage, making strategic decisions on where to invest and evolve the platform.
• Address complex energy and data challenges by building systems that transform extensive metering, market, and weather datasets into actionable insights and operational decisions, aligning software solutions with business realities and future evolution.

Technologies and Tools

Our technology stack includes serverless architecture utilizing TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL, augmented by agentic AI tools driving our development processes. You will enhance an established foundation and help guide architectural evolution.

Candidate Profile

• A passionate commitment to making an impact through the work you do at Cable.
• Minimum three years of professional software development experience within high-standard startups or major firms.
• Deep understanding of modern full-stack development capable of translating ambiguous problems into refined interfaces and robust backend systems.
• Proficiency and enthusiasm for utilizing AI tools as fundamental components of the development process, managing multiple coding agents and advancing workflows.
• Strong engineering judgment, balancing design complexity, simplicity, and system maintainability for scalability and resilience.
• Comfort with ambiguity, iterative development, and ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Preferred: Experience working with large-scale time-series data, billing/accounting systems, or transactional data models.
• Excellent communication skills, kindness, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
