Software Engineer - Atlassian Cloud Migration

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer at mid to senior level to drive a major Atlassian Cloud migration initiative. The position centers on creating robust engineering solutions to facilitate the switch from on-premise environments to the Atlassian Cloud, ensuring security, scalability, and seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the transition from on-premise systems to Atlassian Cloud platform.
• Create automation tools to optimize migration and integration workflows.
• Develop and sustain system integrations using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Collaborate with diverse technical teams to uphold system reliability, security, and scalability standards.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and promote infrastructure as code best practices.
• Apply established software engineering methodologies and design patterns in solution architecture.
• Diagnose and resolve technical challenges during and after migration.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, STEM fields, or closely related areas.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, DevSecOps, or production/platform support roles.
• Proficient in modern programming languages, preferably Python.
• Practical experience with Test Driven Development methodologies.
• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, software design patterns, and data modeling concepts.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and webhooks.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tooling, Git version control, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of identity and access management protocols such as SSO, OAuth, and SCIM.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving capabilities alongside proven communication and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Exposure to Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migrations or platform transformations.
