Job description
About the Role
Join a globally recognized AI-Native leader specializing in search infrastructure, headquartered in Singapore. This company is supported by premier venture capital firms and serves a diverse set of AI-native businesses and enterprises worldwide. Their platform supports hundreds of thousands of developers building on top of it.
As a Software Engineer in the AI/ML Search Infrastructure team, you will be part of a high-impact group responsible for the full search and retrieval technology stack, including crawling, parsing, machine learning system performance, retrieval algorithms, and pioneering new product interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end solutions across the search and retrieval stack with full ownership from day one.
- Collaborate on pioneering product lines, including optimizing ML inference latency and accelerating core infrastructure.
- Flexibly address diverse technical challenges aligned with evolving business priorities.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Strong foundation in distributed systems and software engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency or comfort with Rust or C++ is highly advantageous.
- Hands-on experience working with low-latency, large-scale systems will distinguish candidates.
- Open to engineers across seniority levels—from those with a couple of years of experience post top-tier CS programs to seasoned professionals, within a flat team setup emphasizing hands-on contribution over management roles.
- Preferred backgrounds include machine learning engineers, software engineers from leading AI infrastructure companies or ambitious AI-native startups, as well as quantitative researchers or developers transitioning from trading roles into AI infrastructure.
- Demonstrable markers of technical distinction such as leading a significant technical project end-to-end, distinguished academic credentials in a technical discipline, and evidence of real ownership.
