Role Overview
This position focuses on product engineering for North, our state-of-the-art AI workspace platform designed to transform enterprise AI usage. North offers a secure, customizable environment that permits businesses to deploy AI while maintaining strict control over sensitive information. The platform integrates smoothly with current workflows, enabling trusted AI agent connectivity with workplace tools and applications. The role involves development across front-end, back-end, and AI-powered systems to deliver dependable software that supports customers in augmenting or automating business workflows with trustworthy agents and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and release features for North, the AI workspace platform.
- Create autonomous agents that interact securely with enterprise data.
- Produce minimal, efficient code suited for low-resource environments with rigorous deployment requirements.
- Due to strict security and privacy demands, occasionally create unique solutions without relying on popular libraries or tools.
- Collaborate closely with researchers to transition cutting-edge models and techniques into production-ready solutions.
Preferred Background
- Minimum of two years’ experience shipping full-stack production code, particularly with Python and React.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and objectives.
- Experience working in diverse organizational settings, including startups and large enterprises.
- Strong programming skills and comfort working across the full technology stack.
- Capability to understand and resolve issues that may lie outside the primary codebase.
- Proven experience building and deploying highly performant client-side or server-side RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or agentic applications used by millions.
- Bonus: A passion for art, a creative eye, and a portfolio or online showcase of personal projects is considered an advantage.

Our current technology includes Python, TypeScript with React, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes. We prioritize strong fundamentals, sound product judgement, self-direction, and eagerness to learn over prior experience with every part of the stack.
