Position Overview

PAR TASK is hiring a dedicated Software Engineer to join the team in Sydney - Mona Vale. This full-time role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems to meet the company’s operational and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and address hardware and software issues such as system configurations, database queries, and API integration problems with assistance for more complex challenges.
• Create, develop, test, and maintain software applications and related systems.
• Write, adjust, and review code utilizing suitable programming languages and development environments.
• Integrate software modules, databases, and APIs effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve technical problems.
• Assess existing software solutions and propose enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and functionality.
• Prepare detailed technical documents, including specifications and system designs.
• Monitor software operation and perform necessary upgrades and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, security protocols, and organizational policies.
• Engage actively in all phases of software development, from analysis and design through implementation and deployment.
• Offer technical support and resolve software-related issues as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in software development and programming is essential.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle methodologies, programming languages, databases, and testing processes.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and effective communication skills.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in team settings.

Additional Information

Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Sydney - Mona Vale
Salary: AUD 80,000 to 90,000 per year plus superannuation
