Role Overview

Join a team of over 350 engineers spanning software development, infrastructure, operations, and security, contributing to scalable and significant solutions that define the future of insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, build, and support scalable services by crafting reusable, modular, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Collaborate extensively with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering managers to convert business requirements into efficient software solutions, define project timelines, and estimate work effort.
• Conduct code reviews, uphold coding standards, troubleshoot intricate problems, and ensure software quality and optimal performance.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and tools, promote their adoption when suitable, and contribute towards ongoing learning and team development.

Candidate Profile

• Proficient backend developer with hands-on experience in event-driven architecture, microservices, and domain-driven design.
• Excellent English communication skills enabling effective teamwork within diverse, multidisciplinary groups.
• Self-driven, proactive, responsible, and equipped with strong problem-solving capabilities along with a growth-oriented mindset.
• Experienced working within Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with functional programming languages.
• Professional experience with Rust and/or Elixir languages.
• Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), Event-Sourcing, and Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS).
• Experience using messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a salary ranging from £70,000 to £105,000 annually.
