About the Role
Wipro invites applications for the position of Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on delivering reliable software solutions for Apple platforms and supporting services. The role encompasses designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems that ensure correctness, maintainability, security, and resilience under live production conditions and continual changes.
You will collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and delivery teams to convert complex requirements into scalable technical implementations and take end-to-end responsibility throughout the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver software features from initial technical design and API specification to live production monitoring.
- Convert unclear requirements into precise technical designs while proactively identifying delivery, security, and performance risks.
- Write well-documented, reliable, maintainable, and adequately tested code.
- Promote engineering best practices through effective code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain operational responsibility post-release, which includes debugging, instrumentation, optimization, and security enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced proficiency with Swift, Apple platform frameworks, and expertise in the Xcode development and profiling environments.
- Practical knowledge of Objective-C, Python, and shell scripting to support interoperability, automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing and integrating secure, versioned APIs ensuring robust error handling and backward compatibility.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, data modeling, caching mechanisms, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.
- Disciplined use of unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks such as XCTest and Swift Testing.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with SwiftUI, UIKit or AppKit, Swift Concurrency, and Combine frameworks.
- Experience with automated build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
- Knowledge of on-device inference using Core ML or other Apple intelligence technologies.
- Understanding of model APIs or large language model (LLM)-enabled features, including considerations of latency, privacy, and cost.
- Ability to work within established architecture, security standards, review, and release procedures.
