Software Engineer

Overview

The Software Engineer is tasked with creating high-quality software applications through designing and implementing scalable, testable code. They play a critical role in maintaining and improving existing software systems and ensuring robust, efficient performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust software and web applications with a focus on quality.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain current software solutions to enhance performance.
• Create scalable and easily testable code architectures.
• Identify and resolve coding issues and bugs promptly.
• Write efficient code primarily using Java and related enterprise frameworks.
• Design and develop secure RESTful APIs and implement microservices-based architectures.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, debug issues, and participate in code review processes.
• Work with both SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL or caching technologies like Redis.
• Implement containerization of applications using Docker and manage deployments through Kubernetes or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Up to two years of experience in software development using programming languages.
• Proficient knowledge of Java programming and Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Competence in working with SQL and relational database systems.
• Hands-on experience with Java frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Hibernate.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control using Git, and testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with effective communication and teamwork abilities within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
