Role Overview

The Atlas Growth division seeks a mid-level Software Engineer (Software Engineer 3) based in Dublin to contribute substantially to ongoing projects and lead their own assignments within a hybrid working environment. This role emphasizes alignment with MongoDB's core values and leadership principles with a trajectory towards senior-level responsibilities.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of three years' software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript alongside practical experience with modern frameworks such as React
• Additional skills in compiled languages including Java, Go, or C++ provide an advantage
• Knowledge of database query writing for both document and relational databases
• Experience authoring and reviewing detailed technical specifications and leading small-scale projects
• Interest or experience in A/B testing or product design methodologies

Key Responsibilities

• Produce clean, well-tested code to support ongoing development efforts
• Work collaboratively with product and design teams to develop and refine customer-facing features
• Define project scope and draft technical specification documents, leading small teams of engineers on assigned projects
• Engage actively in technical and documentation reviews to maintain code quality
• Identify enhancement opportunities for owned features and drive their improvement to completion
• Manage incoming support requests and alerts related to owned products and participate in on-call rotations as needed
