Overview
Join our team powering global payments technology that enables millions of customers to transact seamlessly. We seek a technically adept leader to guide and expand a high-performing engineering team building scalable payment services in a dynamic, agile environment. This role focuses on the MENA and APAC regions, aiming to redefine installment payment products for greater affordability and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a software development team of over 10 engineers to promote engineering excellence and career growth.
- Manage delivery of multiple critical yearly projects aligning with organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Operations partners to define and evolve the team's roadmap.
- Steer operational and engineering excellence initiatives, optimizing existing services while architecting solutions for upcoming multi-regional launches.
About the Team
The team operates under the International Emerging Stores Payments (IESP) organisation, focused on simplifying and enhancing payment experiences across MENA and APAC markets. Our mission extends beyond transaction processing to innovating affordable payment options accessible to all customers in these regions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years managing engineering teams with demonstrated leadership.
- At least 7 years of hands-on engineering experience, including over 8 years leading multi-tier web service development.
- Strong knowledge of comprehensive software, hardware, and network development lifecycle practices including coding standards, code review, source control, build, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- Experience partnering with product or program management to deliver solutions.
- Proven ability in system design and architecture focusing on reliability, scalability, and design patterns.

- Skilled in effective communication with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, articulate feature sets, design solutions, and define product strategies.
- Proficient at recruiting, mentoring, and coaching software engineers to enhance skills and increase team effectiveness.
