Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions that effectively integrate with a distributed systems framework.
• Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle for features assigned, encompassing design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, exchange technical knowledge, and align deliverables with overarching system objectives.
• Foster team development by sharing expertise, offering constructive critiques, and mentoring fellow engineers.
• Drive initiatives for technical and procedural enhancements aimed at boosting system dependability, performance, and team efficiency.

A Typical Day

As a software development engineer, your daily activities might include architecting components within the distributed system environment, conducting code creation and peer reviews, and diagnosing production system issues to maintain stability. Participation in architectural discussions, mentoring of junior team members, and involvement in strategic technical planning are integral to the role. Additionally, you will contribute to refining development processes and toolsets to maximize team productivity and deliver value both internally and externally.

About the Team

The team consists of over 100 engineers dedicated to reinventing network management via automation and software solutions. Emphasizing shared ownership, ongoing learning, and mutual support, the team operates in small, self-directed units where individual contributions have a significant impact on customers and the broader company infrastructure. The collective goal is to build scalable infrastructure enabling intelligent automated decisions.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in software development beyond internship roles.
• Background in designing or architecting systems, including dealing with design patterns, scalability, and system reliability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• Experience with the complete software development lifecycle, including adherence to coding standards, performing code reviews, managing source control, utilizing build systems, conducting testing, and operating deployed applications.
