Software Architect - .NET and Azure

About the Role

Join Tata Consultancy Services as a Software Architect based in Dublin, working at the client office with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week on-site. In this pivotal position, you will architect software solutions with a focus on Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud services, while fostering collaboration across technical teams and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and define the overarching software system design ensuring scalability, robustness, security, and maintainability.
• Lead architectural debates and collaborate closely with product owners, project leads, and technical counterparts.
• Oversee adherence to established architecture policies and standards that align with strategic business goals and future growth.
• Translate complex business requirements into tactical, effective technical plans.
• Mentor junior architects and software developers, promoting their advancement and skill enhancement.
• Conduct code assessments and provide expert technical advice to development teams.
• Set and enforce software coding standards, recommended practices, and development methodologies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks and technical challenges proactively.
• Ensure all software builds comply with organizational development policies and standards.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for project or support-related issues when necessary.
• Recommend strategic software development directions including proof of concepts when applicable.
• Evaluate and decide on optimal technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to support software architecture.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Demonstrated extensive experience working with C#, .NET Framework and the latest .NET versions, alongside Azure cloud development patterns and design practices.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server management, Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, REST API development, Azure PaaS, non-functional requirements, and accessibility standards.
• Proven capability to design and roll out complex software systems successfully.
• Deep comprehension of software development processes, principles, architectural styles, and current industry trends to inform decision-making.
• Strong technical foundation across diverse programming languages, architectural frameworks, and design patterns.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to effectively guide developers and interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to align technical excellence with business strategies to drive project and long-term organizational success.

Additional Desirable Skills

Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and React is advantageous.
