The client is a global software provider specializing in advanced predictive modeling and interpretation tools for industries such as oil & gas, geothermal, carbon-capture, and offshore wind.

Role Overview

The Software Architect will work collaboratively with senior team members to develop and refine the software architecture framework. The focus is on applying architectural patterns, supporting domain modeling activities, and promoting code quality and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement architectural patterns and principles within software projects.
• Support efforts to modernize legacy software systems.
• Engage in domain modeling and design discussions to align with business needs.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure implementations meet architectural objectives.
• Contribute to secure coding initiatives and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Document architectural decisions clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven, and hexagonal architectural styles.
• Senior-level development experience within medical device/life sciences or geosciences/mining domains is preferred.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design methodologies.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience using CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency in C++ programming; Python skills are an advantage.
• Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance code quality.
• Degree in Computer Science required; advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are favored.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $160,000 CAD plus benefits.
