Role Overview

As a Software Architect at NovaPilot, you will tackle complex challenges from inception to delivery. Your responsibilities span designing scalable system architectures, conducting advanced algorithm research, analyzing existing systems for improvement, and advising stakeholders to clarify complex technical topics. You will mentor developers, foster innovation through reusable components, and help establish engineering practices and culture in a high-stakes, reliability-focused environment.

Key Duties

• Oversee end-to-end resolution of challenging problems.
• Devise scalable architectures for difficult-to-solve issues.
• Research and develop high-performance, intelligent algorithms.
• Critically assess current solutions to identify improvements and trade-offs.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate technical complexity into understandable terms and influence decisions.
• Guide and uplift developer teams through mentorship.
• Create frameworks and components to boost project innovation.
• Set engineering standards and contribute to crafting company culture as a founding member.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Bring 15+ years of professional experience.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in math, algorithms, and computational theory.
• Experience in algorithm research, including complexity analysis and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP or container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, for example, Pulumi or Terraform.
• Practical AI/ML abilities, including designing or integrating intelligent systems like recommendation engines or predictive models.
• Proven skills in persuading stakeholders and guiding technical conversations.
• Strong inclination toward mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Residency in Dubai, UAE (no relocation assistance available).
