Overview
Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Social Worker to join their nurturing and progressive educational community starting September 2026. The role involves supporting students from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 13 by fostering their academic achievement, emotional health, and social growth through strong partnerships with families, educators, and external organizations.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the academic and social-emotional development of students through assessment and intervention.
- Collaborate closely with students, their families, school faculty, and community agencies to provide support and resources.
- Enhance school-home communication and cooperation to support student wellbeing and academic engagement.
- Help families gain access to community resources that address social and environmental challenges impacting students.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment aligned with local regulatory frameworks and child protection legislation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in school social work or related fields, with an understanding of student development from early years through late adolescence.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and compliance with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge and UAE child protection laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse groups including students, families, faculty, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to support inclusion and deliver family-centered services within a school setting.
