Overview
Prosper Fingal is seeking a Social Care Worker to become a core member of their Day Services team located in Donnycarney, Co. Dublin. This permanent role involves providing tailored person-centred support to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, helping them lead full, independent lives with meaningful involvement in their communities.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, individualized care that promotes independence and enhances skills for daily living.
- Encourage active engagement in community, social, creative, and recreational activities.
- Assist individuals in defining and progressing towards their personal goals.
- Advocate for choice, inclusion, and meaningful community participation.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with those supported, their families, and team members.
- Collaborate effectively within a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
- Uphold the values of New Directions and Prosper in the delivery of support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mandatory CORU registration as a Social Care Worker.
- Qualification either QQI Level 7 or 8 in Social Care, or an equivalent credential recognized by CORU.
- Desirable: Full, clean manual driving licence.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT capabilities.
- Experience in disability services is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with New Directions is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to a positive, person-centred approach focused on client goal achievement.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual gross salary range from €39,100 up to €56,349 full-time equivalent, pro-rated for contracted hours.
- 39-hour work week.
