Social Care Worker

About the Role

Emerald Nursing is seeking dedicated and CORU-registered Social Care Workers to join their established Adult Services team based in Cork. This role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate, person-centred support within both residential and community-based environments, working collaboratively to enhance the independence, well-being, and quality of life for adults in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, individualized care and support tailored to each service user's needs.
• Assist service users in achieving their personal objectives and fostering independence.
• Create, implement, and monitor personalized care and support plans.
• Keep thorough and current records and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and healthcare professionals.
• Uphold the dignity, rights, safety, and overall welfare of individuals receiving care.
• Ensure all care practices comply with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a QQI Level 8 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent credential.
• Active CORU registration as a Social Care Worker is mandatory.
• Prior experience in social care is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work both autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Dedication to person-centred care approaches and safeguarding principles.
• Having a full driving licence is desirable.
