Job description
Position Overview
This role is for an experienced Snowflake Architect within a global financial services consultancy, based in Auckland. The position offers a competitive salary of $220,000 base plus superannuation. It involves leveraging Snowflake alongside the cloud platform ecosystem and related technologies such as ETL, CI/CD pipelines, DBT, and Airflow, with some engagement involving AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect Snowflake data solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and cloud technologies.
- Integrate Snowflake with ETL frameworks, CI/CD systems, and workflow automation tools like Airflow and DBT.
- Apply innovative problem-solving techniques and a progressive mindset to challenge existing practices and explore alternative approaches.
- Collaborate on-site with teams 2-3 days per week, or as required to resolve specific technical challenges.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience designing and implementing Snowflake data architectures.
- Understanding of the interaction between Snowflake and the broader cloud platform ecosystem.
- Familiarity with tools such as ETL processes, CI/CD pipelines, DBT, Airflow, and exposure to AI tools.
- Ability to embrace flexible working arrangements, including hybrid on-site presence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to try new methodologies and viewpoints.
