Smart Driver for Autonomous Delivery Vehicles

Role Overview

We are seeking an on-road safety operator to supervise and manage autonomous delivery vehicles, ensuring their safe and compliant operation in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and oversee autonomous delivery vehicles following company standard operating procedures and UAE traffic regulations.
• Continuously monitor vehicle operations; assume manual driving control when safety is at risk.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to confirm cleanliness, operational readiness, and functionality.
• Promptly and accurately report any incidents, near misses, technical faults, or irregular operational findings.
• Assist with vehicle deployment, retrieval, recharging, and routine upkeep activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and coordinate efforts with dispatch, engineering, and remote operations teams.
• Carry out assigned tasks both indoors (monitoring, reporting, remote support) and outdoors (field deployment, road supervision, vehicle inspection).

Candidate Requirements

• Possess at least three years of driving experience within the UAE and hold a valid UAE driving license with a clean record.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Available to work night shifts, rotating schedules, weekends, and public holidays.
• Adaptable to performing a mix of indoor and outdoor operational roles as needed.
• Comfortable with basic use of smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications.
• Strong commitment to safety, remarkable attention to detail, and ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ownership of a personal vehicle for commuting to the Khalifa City operational site.
• Experience in logistics, fleet management, delivery services, ride-hailing, or commercial vehicle driving.
• Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or autonomous vehicle operation.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
