Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer 2 based in Singapore who will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining automated workflows for product release, testing, and deployment. This includes enhancing staging and production environments for SaaS platforms and creating tools to monitor and analyze system performance. The role requires building deployment workflows across cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage automated workflows for continuous delivery and system deployment.
- Improve SaaS staging and production environments.
- Create monitoring and analysis tools to optimize code building and deployment procedures.
- Manage distributed systems and application resources efficiently.
- Build and orchestrate deployment processes targeting cloud platforms and container technologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must reside in Singapore.
- Proficient with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience working with Apache Kafka.
- Ability to build and manage alerting and monitoring systems for API services.
- Strong expertise in Linux/Unix operating environments.
- Competent in one or more programming languages such as Go, C/C++, or Python.
- Solid understanding of networking services including DNS, TLS/SSL, and HTTP.
- Experience supporting 24/7/365 critical service operations.
- Expertise in debugging Kubernetes clusters and networking issues within.
- Design, implementation, and administration of Kubernetes container clusters.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience designing secure, highly-available distributed systems and microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud service provider network solutions like AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC peering, VPN; Azure VNet; and GCP Network Connectivity Center.
- Professional management of production workloads in AWS environments.
- Knowledge of multi-region PostgreSQL deployments.
- Use of monitoring tools such as Datadog, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with Redis in multi-region setups.
