Role Overview
The Site Engineer role involves full-time on-site work across various construction stages from groundworks through to project completion. Responsibilities encompass setting out and surveying, close coordination with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensuring all works conform to design specifications and deadlines.
Key Duties
- Conduct precise setting out and site surveying activities.
- Collaborate effectively with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to synchronize work schedules.
- Ensure construction elements are executed in accordance with design criteria and project timelines.
- Oversee quality control processes, maintain detailed site records, and assist in resolving technical issues related to structural and civil engineering.
- Implement and promote health and safety standards on site.
- Participate in progress meetings and communicate project updates to relevant stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working on-site within dynamic construction environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Strong quality control skills, including accurate documentation, inspection, and adherence to standards.
- Proficiency in structural engineering principles applicable to construction projects.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification or extensive industry experience as a civil engineer.
- Competence in interpreting technical drawings and operating surveying instruments and construction software tools.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and their practical application on construction sites.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
