About the Role
Deutsche Bahn seeks motivated employees for over 500 different professions across Germany, welcoming both experienced professionals and career starters, and offering numerous entry and training opportunities. We are currently recruiting for a permanent position as Security Staff (m/f/d) at DB Sicherheit GmbH, located in Göttingen.
The annual gross salary for this Security Staff position ranges between €32,400 and €36,800, dependent on your professional experience, qualifications, allowances, and bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety of passengers on trains and at stations.
- Patrolling to enforce travel conditions on passenger trains and uphold property rights.
- Utilizing modern security technology such as body cameras during daily operations.
- Collaborating with the police, DB AG companies, and other external partners.
There are opportunities for advancement, including roles as a service dog handler or membership in specialized operational teams, providing a varied and long-term career outlook.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training as a specialist in protection and security or successfully passed the IHK knowledge examination in accordance with Section 34a of the German Trade Regulation Act.
- Previous experience in security services, such as airports, facility protection, or public transport, is advantageous.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and possessing good physical fitness.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working with people, complemented by teamwork and communication abilities.
- Good proficiency in German, both spoken and written, alongside willingness to attend supplementary training sessions.
- Valid Class B driving license is required.
A clear criminal record certificate without entries will be required prior to employment.

Compensation is based on the current collective wage agreements and operational regulations, factoring in specific duties, experience, qualifications, and additional payments or bonuses. The salary figures mentioned do not, in themselves, establish any entitlement to payment.
