Role Overview

The current opening is for a Shop Attendant position on behalf of a client company. Immediate joining is required for this vacancy.

Key Duties

• Welcoming customers who visit the store and guiding them through product choices
• Handling sales transactions efficiently and managing point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Refilling shelves and ensuring product displays and prices are accurate
• Performing inventory counts and reporting any low stock levels or irregularities
• Resolving customer complaints along with processing returns and exchanges
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization on the shop floor
• Executing opening and closing store tasks, including reconciling cash registers

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum of one year experience in retail, sales, or customer-facing roles
• At least a secondary school certificate
• Fundamental arithmetic skills for cash management and stocktaking
• Strong command of English language, both spoken and written
• Familiarity with POS systems or rapid adaptability to learning them

Preferred:

• Previous exposure to supermarket, pharmacy, or FMCG store environments
• Experience with inventory control software
• Formal training in customer service or sales strategies
• Handling of mobile money or digital payment systems
