Shift Supervisor - Injection Moulding

Role Summary

The company seeks experienced Injection Moulding Supervisors to oversee production operations ensuring efficiency and quality in manufacturing processes involving large injection moulding machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily injection moulding production activities ensuring targets are consistently met.
• Set up machines including mould mounting/changing and precise adjustment of process parameters.
• Operate and manage large machines exceeding 1000 tons capacity.
• Monitor critical operation factors such as temperature, injection/holding pressure, injection speed, cooling and cycle times, and back pressure.
• Diagnose and resolve production defects including short moulding, flash, warpage, sink marks, burn marks, black spots, and dimensional inconsistencies.
• Minimize material wastage, machine downtime, and product rejection while maintaining mould repair and maintenance activities.
• Handle plastic raw materials specifically PP/PPCP, ensuring correct loading, drying, and mixing procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance and management teams to address machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Lead and manage production shift manpower including operators and helpers.
• Maintain comprehensive reports covering production metrics, rejection rates, downtime, and shift handovers.
• Support mould and machine trials along with new product development initiatives.
• Implement 5S methodology, uphold housekeeping standards, and ensure safety compliance across the shop floor including PPE usage.
• Carry full accountability for smooth production operations during assigned shifts.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 10 years of practical experience in plastic injection moulding operations.
• Expertise in injection moulding machines and mould maintenance including repair.
• Proficiency in machine setting and detailed process parameter customization.
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting defects in moulded products.
• Hands-on experience with large injection moulding machines (capacity over 1000 tons) and managing production staff.
• Good understanding of plastic raw materials especially PP and PPCP.
• Preference for candidates experienced with medium to large injection moulding machines.
• Proven track record in production and quality control with emphasis on rejection rate reduction.
• Effective leadership and communication capabilities.
• Availability for immediate or early joining preferred.

Additional Information

• This position involves hands-on production responsibilities including machine setting, mould changing, troubleshooting, controlling production flow, workforce management, and quality assurance.
• Remuneration: ₹40,000 CTC per month.
• Employment type: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts.
