Shift Manager

Overview

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant during their assigned shift, ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the restaurant team by assigning tasks and ensuring efficient performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and place orders to maintain adequate stock.
• Generate and interpret reports pertaining to sales, projections, petty cash, and wastage to align with operational targets.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly to uphold guest satisfaction.
• Enforce hygiene, safety, and operational policies consistently throughout the shift.

Operational Duties

• Maintain staff productivity by managing breaks and ensuring adequate coverage during busy periods.
• Resolve conflicts among team members to ensure a positive working environment.
• Assist in petty cash management and ensure accurate financial handling.
• Maintain food and beverage service quality to meet company standards.
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager to implement operational improvements.
• Manage costs efficiently to meet financial targets during shifts.
• Carry out opening and closing responsibilities as per operational guidelines.
