Key Responsibilities

• Lead essential restaurant operations including employee training, food safety, and inventory oversight
• Delegate tasks effectively and report on outcomes
• Support the General Manager to meet performance and quality targets in kitchen, staffing, and service
• Supervise food quality, safety, cost control, and introduction of new menu items
• Manage hiring, training, and scheduling to achieve sales and profit goals
• Ensure an outstanding customer experience by organizing service areas and staff training
• Collaborate with the team to maintain safe and efficient restaurant operations

Requirements

• Effective communication skills and ability to anticipate customer needs
• Quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Preferable leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings
• Must be at least 18 years old for corporate-owned restaurants

Additional Role Details

Shift Managers are responsible for overseeing shifts weekly to maintain fast, accurate, and friendly customer service. Duties include planning shifts, monitoring performance, upholding McDonald’s standards, managing safety and profitability, and coordinating with next shift managers. They may also meet targets and support departmental goals.
