Shift Lead

Overview

We are hiring a full-time Shift Lead at B&Q Tweedbank, located in Galashiels, Scotland. This permanent role involves working 36.75 hours per week with an annual salary of £27,709.50 plus pension and 6.6 weeks holiday. The role includes being a keyholder with shift times ranging from as early as 6am to as late as 10pm.

Role Summary

As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and efficient working and shopping environment. Your shift management responsibilities include overseeing store operations to create a positive experience for both customers and colleagues. You will be responsible for effective colleague deployment, being the primary contact for both customers and staff during your shift, and maintaining store safety compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations as the central figure during your shifts.
• Allocate colleague roles appropriately to prioritize customer service and sales objectives.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers and team members alike to resolve issues and provide support.
• Maintain store safety standards consistently throughout each shift.
