Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Serviceperson to join the dedicated Maintenance team at Gove Operations, located in the Northern Territory. This full-time permanent position offers a unique fly-in fly-out (FIFO) schedule, working 4 days and 4 nights on-site followed by 8 days off, departing from Cairns or Darwin (with Brisbane to Cairns travel at candidate's expense). This role involves supporting minor maintenance activities to ensure equipment stays reliable across the operation.
Key Duties
- Perform daily equipment servicing including refuelling, lubrication, and fluid level checks.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks to reduce operational downtime.
- Safely operate service vehicles on site.
- Conduct thorough inspections and promptly report any equipment faults or defects.
- Keep accurate records of all servicing activities and communicate shift handovers effectively.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement efforts within the team.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
- Exhibits respectfulness and inclusivity towards others.
- Holds or is willing to obtain an HR class driver's licence (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance or service role or a keen willingness to learn.
- Capable of working comfortably in hot, outdoor environments.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and an interest in mechanical systems.
- Good organizational skills, including time management and ability to work cooperatively in a team.

Work Environment
Gove Operations has maintained a global reputation by supplying high-quality bauxite to the aluminium industry for over four decades.
