Role Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will uphold high standards of machine maintenance and repair, minimizing failure rates and aiming for zero client complaints within their area. This position involves servicing and maintaining equipment to ensure reliable operation and contributing to ongoing business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and fix faults across a broad range of vending equipment.
• Strive to complete all repair work on the initial visit, minimizing downtime; any necessary follow-up visits should occur promptly.
• Prioritize repairs on machines that exhibit recurrent issues to minimize repeated breakdowns.
• Keep up to date with technical manuals and documentation relevant to serviced equipment.
• Participate in training courses to maintain superior workmanship standards.
• Maintain positive client relationships through courteous conduct and adherence to site-specific procedures such as health & safety and access protocols.
• Proactively address potential customer dissatisfaction by seeking timely repairs or escalating issues as necessary.
• Maintain company vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring cleanliness and roadworthiness per company guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to build and sustain effective teamwork and client partnerships to deliver excellent service.
• Self-motivated with capability to work independently.
• Possess a valid UK driving license with a minimum of one year driving experience and no more than six penalty points.
• Customer-oriented with a neat, professional appearance.
• Demonstrated strong electrical knowledge and experience—either through practical work or relevant electrical qualifications.
• Solid technical background with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge and adherence to safe working practices on electrical apparatus.
