Service Technician - Australia

Work Locations and Schedule

• Positions are based across regional Australia and are not FIFO roles; presence in the region is required.
• Locations include: Merredin, Jurian Bay, Geraldton (WA); Port Augusta/Whyalla, Millicent/Mt Gambier (SA); Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale (VIC); Canberra/Goulburn, Inverall/Glen Innes (NSW); Hughenden, Chinchilla/Dulacca, Atherton (QLD); Musselroe, Granville Harbour (TAS).
• Standard working hours are 8 hours per day.
• On-call weekend duties approximately once every 3-4 weeks.
• Travel is required about 50 days per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety and environmental standards while achieving service goals.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance following Vestas’ protocols, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and component replacements.
• Ensure turbine operation runs smoothly using condition monitoring systems and remote controls.
• Maintain service vehicle readiness and manage warehouse inventory by ordering necessary tools, materials, and spare parts.
• Assemble and service components according to standards, utilizing cranes when applicable.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines with eagerness to continue developing expertise.
• Competent computer skills for work documentation and system monitoring.
• Proficient English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license.
