Job description
About The Role
We are actively looking for a Service Technician to become part of our expanding team located at Gibson Island. This position centers on providing on-site maintenance, servicing, and repairs of forklifts, loaders, elevated work platforms (EWPs), and other mobile plant machinery at various Visy locations.
Work Schedule and Benefits
- Regular shifts run Monday through Friday, eight hours daily with potential for overtime.
- Company vehicle and phone provided to support job duties.
Key Duties
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on mobile equipment across Brisbane and Gold Coast facilities.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for machinery issues.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform scheduled upkeep tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and parts used to facilitate inventory management.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a trade qualification relevant to Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, or a related field.
- Practical experience working with forklifts, EWPs, and/or mobile plant equipment.
- Strong skills in diagnostics and identifying faults within machinery.
- Capable of independently managing service responsibilities and tasks.
- Hold a current and valid driver's licence.
- Demonstrate reliability, organisation, and a customer-focused approach.
