Job description
Role Overview
Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand as a Service Operations Specialist based in Mosgiel, Otago. You'll act as the main point of contact for all customer experience matters, always prioritizing the customer's perspective while ensuring flawless operational procedures in daily store activities.
Key Duties
- Maintain oversight of checkouts and cash office operations.
- Supervise customer service areas including entry gates, trolleys, baskets, lottery services, audit, and customer loyalty programs to uphold high standards and adherence to company policies.
- Provide outstanding customer interactions by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
- Lead and guide team members through effective supervision, training, coaching, and stepping in as Acting Store Manager during designated shifts.
- Promptly identify and escalate process challenges to the Function Lead for timely resolution.
- Promote workplace safety and wellbeing by following protocols, reporting hazards, and fostering healthy team environments.
- Participate actively in team communication and cooperation initiatives to sustain positive workplace culture.
Candidate Profile
- Exhibit excellence in process management and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Effectively delegate tasks, oversee progress, provide coaching and feedback, and motivate team members.
- Deep understanding of compliance requirements within operational functions, paired with strong communication abilities to convey expectations clearly.
- Strong alignment with organizational values in behavior and work ethic.
- Willingness to work four weekend shifts monthly and at least one evening per week as per roster requirements.
Working Hours
Roster includes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
