About the Role
Manawatu & TRC Toyota is seeking an experienced Service Manager for their Whanganui location. This role offers leadership over a skilled team consisting of technicians, apprentices, and service advisors at one of New Zealand's leading Toyota dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and optimize daily workshop activities for maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Manage booking and job allocation systems effectively.
- Maintain clear and timely communication among front-line service advisors, customers, and technicians.
- Provide training and support to apprentices and technicians to facilitate their skill development and career growth.
- Foster collaborative interactions with Parts and Sales departments to promote a unified team environment.
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service experiences with every visit.
- Oversee budgets, profits, and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Service department.
- Encourage motivation, positivity, and accountability within the team to achieve departmental goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Solid technical knowledge of automotive service and repair.
- Previous experience as a Senior Technician, Workshop Foreman, or Service Manager.
- Demonstrated leadership and effective people management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on delivering results.
- Passion for coaching others and ensuring high-quality customer service.
